I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in practice for 25 years. In that time I’ve worked with a vast array of clients, from severely and persistently mentally ill and struggling to survive, to high-functioning professionals trying to find the right life path. I currently work with motivated individuals who may be facing existential crisis and have trouble finding clarity on how to use their limited time on Earth. My clients are often held back from their potential by current or past circumstances, were caught off guard by a harsh reality like a health scare, or who just aren’t happy and don’t want to live that way.
One of my assets is that I’ve done many other things professionally besides therapy, so I have a broader view of how the world works. I have been in leadership positions in a Fortune 5 company, worked in non-profits with state and federal government, provided Emergency Room crisis services, published an award-winning book with the Denver Botanic Gardens, advised the Colorado Music Hall of Fame on a new behavioral health program, worked in the Denver Public Schools’ special education department, been a photo editor and writer for a music magazine, and directed and produced an award-winning historical documentary.
I approach life from the perspective that it is limited, discoverable, rewards self-knowledge and a tolerance for discomfort and failure, and yields clarity when considered alongside one’s mortality. This work requires a facility for unmitigated honesty, and a willingness to swim out into the unknown.
What that gives me the most gratification is creating things and helping others get what they want. So, I am here, happy to work with you.
